Ticks - Information about hazardous pests

The tick is not only an annoying nuisance, but also carriers of dangerous diseases. Best known is the disease that is chronic and more difficult the further life. Therefore it makes sense to avoid tick bites, if possible, by properly protect themselves and avoid particularly dangerous areas.

Fundamentals of the tick
Male ticks are harmless to humans. Only the females are risky because they require human or animal blood for their offspring. Before they have soaked, they are so small that they do not often recognize. Its apparent size, they receive only when they have fed on the blood of their hosts and are just about to let yourself fall again. The dangerous germs are not released by the bite itself, but by attempting to remove the tick. If it is handled incorrectly, it bites harder and the bacteria enter the bloodstream of the host, where they multiply and can make him sick. You should be careful in tall grass, as most species of tick remain very happy there.

Dealing with the tick bite
Usually, a tick is noticed when it has already drawn some blood, and therefore large enough to detect them easily. Depending on the species of tick it assumes a different color: some are bright, some dark, but beyond a certain size can be seen every way if they had not been lucky enough to discover them before they could be bite, the tick must be drawn. This is done with a special tool, which can be purchased at any pharmacy, in other tools such as tweezers, one should not try. Head and body of the tick at work independently of one another, which means that the head remains still in the wound and germs releases, even if one gets separated the body by the wrong tool. The tick tweezers, the tick grabs between head and body and allows it to remove it with rotating movements, which should be possible without pain. As a result, the tick bite, but not yet fixed in the wound and can therefore give no pathogens into the bloodstream. After pulling the wound is examined, since one must be sure that the head of the tick has also been removed. If you have doubts about this, you should take the tick to the doctor pulled and let him look.
