My discovery came to me for wanting to remove an asbestos material in my house. The condition that results from the house after this accident left me with a sore chest, dry skin and I Ching unbearable eyes. My wife complained of extreme thirst and my oldest son, aged 14, developed severe asthma. This all followed for five or six months. During this time I tried desperately to determine if we lived in a dangerous level of asbestos. The material I had removed was tested and containing 20% asbestos crysitile. Air sampling proved to be unreliable because the area had been ventilated so well. But furniture, carpets, walls and all other personal were covered with the remains of the demolition.Everyone wanted to downplay the seriousness of the situation, but for me it was obviously not a healthy environment.
Therefore, I began to try to logically deduce, with a knowledge of the physical properties of asbestos, when I found the substance, as I tried to clean every surface and item in every room of the house.
That was fifteen years ago. During that time, as I learned information on where to find all the materials containing asbestos on a daily basis. I made mental notes about my and others' reactions these meetings. Many things have emerged since sore throat and skin conditions (acne and basil cell cancer of the skin) for asthma, pneumonia and death. I have no clinical proof of these assertions I've done, except to say "if it looks, walks and sounds like a duck, it probably is a duck." Often clinical trials are verified to produce the same results in subsequent tests. Deductive reasoning can also be verified the same way. If these results are seen again and again after exposure to low levels of these remaining after that test for me.
Without writing a book, I would not have the space to detail all the observations I made during this period, but I can assure you that there is contact with asbestos without adverse health consequences as possible.
